Visiting Manitowoc, Wisconsin

Wisconsin Maritime Museum

Fun for the entire family! Interactive exhibits, children’s activities, information about Wisconsin built ships, model ships, educational displays and much more. The Wisconsin Maritime Museum is home to the USS COBIA, a World War II Submarine. You can visit the museum and tour the USS Cobia, both on the same ticket. A beautiful museum, located right on the river, just around the corner for the SS BADGER dock.

Beerntsen’s Confectionary

Step back in time and enjoy some sweet treats at Beernsten’s. Family owned since 1932, they still create the chocolates and candies the same way they did in the beginning – including traditional candy making methods such as using copper kettles and wooden paddles, talk about nostalgic! Everything certainly is handcrafted with much love and care. Located in historic downtown Manitowoc, just a few blocks away for the SS BADGER dock.

Located right on the river and just a few blocks from the SS BADGER dock, the Wharf is a bar and music venue that features a food truck style kitchen with a 4,000 square foot open air patio and retractable roof system. The best atmosphere for entertainment that you won’t find just anywhere!

Cedar Crest

When in Wisconsin, you must get Ice Cream! Made in Manitowoc, you don’t have to go far to find Cedar Crest ice cream with over 80 flavors of delicious Wisconsin ice cream. When visiting their main location, you get greeted by Bernice, their iconic and massive fiberglass cow.
