Big Ship, Big Trucks! Bring your rig and take the relaxing S.S. Badger shortcut across Lake Michigan. While onboard you can enjoy everything the ship has to offer. Due to safety and security regulations, drivers may not stay on the car deck during the crossing.
No hazardous materials can be transported on the SS BADGER. This includes items such as propane tanks, black powder, anything toxic or anything dangerous to humans.

Please be sure you have a reservation and arrive one hour before scheduled departure time.
Our sailing season will run from May 15th through October 11th, 2026. The schedule will run as follows:
- Depart Ludington, MI at 9:00 a.m. ET > Arrive in Manitowoc, WI at 12:00 noon CT.
- Depart Manitowoc, WI at 2:00 p.m. CT > Arrive in Ludington, MI at 7:00 p.m. ET
June 19th-Septermber 7th we will have an evening crossing as well.
- Depart Ludington, MI at 8:45 p.m. ET > Arrive in Manitowoc, WI at 11:45 p.m. CT.
- Depart Manitowoc, WI at 1:30 a.m. CT > Arrive in Ludington, MI at 6:30 a.m. ET
